I am a sociology major at Bryn Mawr College and have been toying with the idea of minoring in theater. A native of Baton Rouge, I interned this summer for Senator Mary Landrieu on Capitol Hill. I have been a volunteer for political campaigns that include Andy Kopplin for Congress and Obama for America. I have blogged about race for The Christian Science Monitor’s, Patchwork Nation, and for The New York Times, The Choice about my decision to apply to women’s colleges. I am a current contributor for The Women in Public Service Project’s Commentary: Voice of a Seven Sisters Undergraduate. I dream of one day running for public office.
