Spring Break 2013: Ireland

CliffsofMoher

As I’ve mentioned in the past few posts, last night l returned from Ireland. The trip was incredible, and I absolutely fell in love with the country. I went to visit my friend Eliza, who is a student at Bryn Mawr College, but spending her junior semester abroad at Trinity College in Dublin.

Eliza showed me the most amazing time. We explored the city of Dublin, and also took day trips to other towns in the countryside, including the cozy town of Howth and Limerick. My favorite part of the trip included visiting the Cliffs of Moher, pictured above, as they are breathtaking to see, and shown in many of my favorite movies, including The Princess Bride and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

I really enjoyed the culture in Ireland, as I had a childhood obsession with Riverdance, and being in Dublin on St. Paddy’s Day was quite a treat (although I left in the early afternoon to fly home.) Our friend and fellow Mawrter, Emma, flew in from Copenhagen for the weekend, and we happened to run into other Bryn Mawr students on the streets of Dublin, which was crazy.

Below are pictures of my time in Ireland. I hope they convey the absolute beauty of the country.
